Funky Monkey Tees

Our Funky Monkey Football “Sweetness” design was inspired by the greatest running back of the Chicago Bears. As a lifelong Chicago Bears fan I witnessed the greatness of “Sweetness”, and was fortunate to watch him on the Bears during the 85/86 Superbowl year. Arguably considered the best Superbowl team ever. I have many fond memories of “Sweetness” and his journey into greatness. His life was cut short due to a rare illness, but our design is an homage to “Sweetness” and his memory will forever remain in our clothing.   

The Funky Monkey “Air” design was inspired by the greatest to ever play the game of basketball. During the 80’s I lived in Chicago and watched as this rookie player from North Carolina became the greatest to play the game. He moved like a gazelle and was able to not only find a lane when there wasn’t one but was able to finish the play like no one I have ever seen. The Funky Monkey “Air” design is an homage to the greatest basketball player to step onto the court.

The Funky Monkey “Babe” baseball design was inspired by the greatest to ever play the game. With his larger that life personality and his on the field success has inspired us to create a logo in his honor. This player shattered the rookie home run record and went on to hold the home run record for decades. The Funky Monkey baseball “Babe” design is an homage to the best to ever play the game.
